  Went in today to purchase a keychain for my son, to be left feeling embarassed and insulted by the staff member working. I train staff on customer service and feel there is a right and wrong way to deal with things. I have no issue with there being a minimum transaction amount for card payments but would feel a store that cared about their customers would handle this by saying something along the lines of "sorry but we do not take cards for that amount but do you want us to keep hold of it while you pop to the cash point" rather than smirking, saying "are you joking it's only 79p I have to pay a 50p card charge on that and embarrassing your customer in front of everyone in the shop. I recommend people go somewhere else such as the hardware shop just down the road where I then went and bought the same chain without the embarrassment and humiliation
